By 2000, we had about 20 developers on staff and were using early Adobe ColdFusion to build applications for global brands including General Motors, Ford and Chrysler. Shortly after, we were hired to design the next big thing online: pop-up banners and landing pages for large ad networks.
While we thrived on drumming up user engagement through eye-grabbing design, we were also getting more and more into building online products and platforms. We knew businesses would flourish with more reliable, personalized digital communications products, so we built SiteRack and AdHawker. Siterack allowed people to design, build and host a website without having to learn a single line of code (a forerunner of today's SaaS products), and AdHawker made email marketing simple.
To us, it's always been about not just building products, but building the right products that solve users' pain points and challenges.
